Did you know that Cambodia has one of the highest rabies death rates per capita globally? In Phnom Penh alone, one child tragically loses their life to rabies every week.

To tackle this devastating reality, the Cambodian government has been working since 2019 to achieve a goal of zero human rabies deaths through impactful projects and campaigns. The most effective way to prevent rabies is through canine vaccination. This October and November, ADI and Mission Rabies returned to Phnom Penh to conduct a mass vaccination campaign, reaching thousands of dogs to break the rabies transmission cycle.

As part of this crucial effort, our ADI Cambodia team provided hands-on support, bringing our expertise to assist in this life-saving project.
